My daughter is into ballet and ballerinas big time right now. I noticed that the Angelina videos are $5.00. Does anyone have any of these? Are they good, or disappointing?
I also saw a sticker on an Angelina book that said, "As seen on tv". Is Angelina on television? I've never come across the show. If she is on television, what station, time, and day is she on?

Kamilla loves the Angelina Ballerina videos. They were produced for ITV - one of the British TV stations - and in my opinion are very nicely done and just adorable. Miss Lily is spoken by Dame Judy Dench and Angelina Ballerina by her daughter, Finty Williams. On the DVD's you have some extras like seeing real girls taking ballet lessons.
Kamilla is 8 1/2 now and still loves to watch them and told me that she would love to get the new ones that have just been published.

We only have one but Tori still watches it at almost 8. You can't go wrong at $5.00!

I have never seen the videos but I can tell you that the books based on the TV show are not nearly as good as the books from the original book series.

I decided to give these videos a try. I ordered them all because for $5 it is worth the risk. I am just buying sanity.

We have almost all of the AB movies. My girls love them but they already loved Angelina and ballet. AB has a show on PBS. We've never seen it because our station doesn't carry it. I just checked the PBS website www.pbskids.org and couldn't find it. Maybe it isn't on any more.

My dd, now 10, has all but one of the books and has loved them since before she could read (age 5). She had outgrown AB by the tiome the videos were made but still loves them, so I ordered the lot ( we have 3 already).
I really regard AB as an early childhood classic. I know my dd keeps them around as a comfort read - even though she is reading full sized classics now. She is a serious ballet student ( 20-25 hours a week) so obviously this is her subject. I wish the theater had been around when she was the age for it.

We have 2 Angelina DVDs and my DDs love them. The only thing I don't like about them is that the DVDs are not broken into "chapters" so that the whole thing (with how many ever episodes) runs through once and you can't just select a specific epsisode to watch.

I have two girls and both love ballet - and Angelina Ballerina. We used to watch them on PBS, not sure if they are still on though. Even I really love them!! We own a few of these videos - love the books and puzzles too.
